The World Conference on Earthquake Engineering (WCEE), which was started in 1956, is the most influential and the largest professional event in the field of earthquake engineering. It is held every four years under the auspices of the International Association for Earthquake Engineering (IAEE).

The 14th World Conference on Earthquake Engineering (14WCEE) will be held in Beijing during the period October 12-17, 2008, with Vice Premier of China HUI Liangyu serving as the President of the Steering Committee and Director General CHEN Jianmin of the China Earthquake Administration serving as the President of the Local Organizing Committee.

The rapid economic expansion in China in recent years makes it an ideal platform to evaluate and apply the latest advances in engineering and modern technologies from the R&D activities in civil engineering and related fields. With the huge volume of civil infrastructure in progress and planned in the future, new products and techniques will find China an excellent location for application. Moreover, as an earthquake-prone country, China has always been confronted with the challenge of protecting its citizens from devastating impacts of earthquake disasters. Indeed, earthquake engineering in China will continue to be emphasized in the future.

Hosted by the Chinese Association of Earthquake Engineering (CAEE) and sponsored by the China Earthquake Administration & the Ministry of Construction, the 14WCEE will serve as an international forum at which more than 3000 specialists, government officials, and NGO representatives in earthquake engineering and relevant fields are anticipated to exchange their latest research results and technologies. It will also serve as a wonderful opportunity for related vendors to show off their latest products and services. The Conference strives to promote innovation, transformative practice and durable safety in reducing the impact of earthquakes on our society and natural environment.

Exhibition Participant Cost

Exhibit space will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis upon receipt of the completed Exhibit Booth Reservation Form and payment. Confirmation will be sent to applicants by email after receipt of the full exhibition fee.
