S02 Researches on Earthquake Prediction

Description:

The session of “Researches on Earthquake Prediction” focuses on the following topics:
1. The seismicities in the world;
2. The anomalous phenomena associated with the forthcoming earthquakes in geophysical and geochemical observed data;
3. The rock mechanical test;
4. The studies on the theory or hypothesis of long and medium term earthquake prediction;
5. The physical mechanism of earthquake preparation and generation and numerical forecasting approaches;

Additionally, the research results on the recent significant giant earthquakes such as the Sumatra M9 earthquake are welcome. The comments and suggestions on the prospects of earthquake prediction are appreciated.
